Topic Description:
In 2019, Eileen was inspired to attempt to summit all Vancouver North Shore peaks in the ever- growing “Peak Bagger Challenge”. She was the first and only woman to “bag” 82 peaks in one season and was awarded the 2019 Bagger Challenge Pippa Quaich.
The Bagger Challenge has traditionally attracted ultra-runner types who would do multiple peaks in a single long, fast day. Eileen knew that she could never compete by approaching the challenge in the same manner that others had been, so she had to develop her own approach. By changing how the game is played, she not only was successful, but created a new path for others to follow, hopefully increasing success rates among other non-runners in years to come.
Eileen presented this talk at the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival right before the pandemic brought in-person events to a halt.

She is pleased to be speaking again, and to highlight from this talk how she adapted her style for the Bagger Challenge, and how similar adaptations can be made in life and in business.

Key Takeaways:
